Our Founder 

Mickie Nakonechny is a leader in the resale community in Grand Forks. 
Mickie first opened True Colors, a funky chic resale boutique on
July 1, 2006. It was through her vision that true colors grew into the
premier resale shop in the Red River Valley.  After the success she’s
had with ladies clothing at True Colors, Mickie  opened indigo to  offer
the best of the best used clothing to the high school and college age
market.  She has built her businesses on the foundation of integrity,
exceptional customer service, and common sense. Her commitment to
recycling and the love of good quality clothes at bargain prices fuels
 her desire to provide a unique shopping experience for stylish women
of all ages and sizes. 

Our Manager

Lauren Gessler  worked for True Colors when it first opened in 2006. She
graduated  with her bachelor's degree in Business Administration from UND
 in August 2008. After graduation she was promoted to store manager of
indigo. Lauren and Mickie have worked together to build indigo’s image of
a hip, edgy resale store.  Lauren is driven by her love of fashion and the
blossoming resale industry. She loves working for a business that makes it
possible to dispose of unneeded clothes without resorting to the trash,
and instead getting the full benefit of these resources by recycling.

BreAnna

BreAnna  rejoined the indigo and True Colors team in January after a
semester studying in France.  She's currently studying English at UND.
BreAnna works part time at both indigo and True Colors to finance her j
oy of traveling.  BreAnna is our  “display queen” and makes the best outfits
 around the store. Next time you are in have BreAnna put one together for you!
